How Does Invisalign® Work?
Your Invisalign treatment is designed around your smile, your goals and your lifestyle.
1. Your Invisalign Consultation
Your journey begins with a consultation at one of our Smile Design Dental Care locations. Your dentist will examine your teeth, discuss your concerns and determine whether Invisalign is right for you.
We’ll take the time to understand what you’d like to change about your smile and answer any questions you may have.
2. Your Digital Smile Scan
Using advanced digital technology, we can create a detailed 3D image of your teeth. This digital scan helps your dentist plan your treatment and allows you to see a preview of how your smile could look after treatment.
No messy traditional impressions required.
3. Your Custom Treatment Plan
Your dentist will create a personalized Invisalign treatment plan showing how your teeth are expected to move throughout treatment.
You’ll know what to expect before you begin, and your dentist will monitor your progress along the way.
4. Wear Your Aligners
You’ll receive a series of custom-made clear aligners. Each aligner is designed to make small, controlled adjustments to your teeth.
For best results, Invisalign aligners should generally be worn 20–22 hours per day, removing them only to eat, drink, brush and floss.
As you progress through your aligners, you’ll gradually see your smile transform.
5. Check Your Progress
You’ll have periodic appointments with your Smile Design Dental Care team so we can monitor your progress and make sure your treatment is progressing as planned.
6. Reveal Your New Smile
