Is Smile Design Dental Care a CDCP dentist?
Yes. Smile Design Dental Care is a participating Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) provider, and we welcome eligible patients at our five dental clinics in Oakville, Hamilton, Stoney Creek, Stoney Creek East and Binbrook. If you are looking for a dentist that accepts the Canadian Dental Care Plan near you, we bill Sun Life directly for your covered care.
We provide CDCP-covered services including dental exams, cleanings, X-rays, fillings, root canal treatment, dentures, tooth extractions, gum care and emergency dental care. Some treatments, such as crowns and certain root canals, may need approval before we begin, and depending on your income you may have an out-of-pocket cost.
CDCP can help with the cost of many basic and major dental services. Coverage depends on your eligibility, your treatment needs, CDCP rules, and whether the service needs preauthorization.
How to use your CDCP coverage at Smile Design
- Call the Smile Design location nearest you and let us know you have CDCP coverage.
- We verify your coverage, explain any co-payment or extra cost in advance, and bill Sun Life directly for covered care.
- Bring your CDCP member card and a piece of government-issued ID to your visit.
